Glacier Bay, Alaska Travel with Jeff aboard the Delphinus with Captain Ronn Patterson. ON: upcoming summer dates, not 2003 COST: About $2500 will cover the week on the yacht with all food, lodging and photo time. OJECTIVES: This is certainly the best way to travel and explore this area of Alaska. Very comfortable and yet we are in the heart of it all. To photograph one of the most spectacular locations in Alaska. Glaciers, wildlife and the scenery is awesome. We will explore from our boat and shoot right on deck. There will be landings, and a smaller Zodiac to work from also. The days are long this time of year which gives us lots of working time. The meals are gourmet, the staff expert in their fields, the trip will be unforgettable. WORKSHOP: Meet in Juneau the night before we board the Delphinus yacht. One full week on board chugging around the Galcier Bay area. Photographing the highlights and there are so many. Lots of ice and wildlife. We will even have an aerial flight option available to us. If the weather is right the flight is fabulous. We get up about 6am and spend the day shooting. We anchor for the night (flexible depending on were we are and what we've found) and sleep downstairs in our bunks. 6-8 is a good size group for this trip and will give us plenty of room for a yacht. LODGING: On board the Delphinus, tight ship-like quarters but very adequate. |
