PHOTO TOURS

I have been leading photo tours since the early 1990’s.  My tours specialize in small groups going to wildlife hotspots and capturing great images.  These trips will often be specifically designed to visit areas where only small groups can go.  These are often places where you won’t find other groups.  My knack for finding the most photogenic situations and cooperative subjects makes for memorable photos.  We often stay in the heart of the area out of the big cities and some tours lend themselves for camping situations.  We will also get to know the area and often the people who make it so special.  I will also take one or two photographers into areas that are new for me, a scouting situation which makes for a real small group and higher success rates for you.  Because I’m a bird specialist many of my trips are dedicated to bird photography.  I don’t stop with just a portrait, we often set up blinds and spend considerable time with cooperative subjects capturing exciting, intimate photos that not everyone else already has.  Being a teacher and a wildlife biologist for 17 years makes me the perfect tour leader.  Along with my patience and willingness to go the extra mile for you, I will make sure you get the shot before I do in many cases.  I am the leader who will put your images ahead of mine.  You won't find this kind of service with other tours.  I include all food and transportation in my trips also, making these trips some of the most affordable on the market.  It is great to spend meal times with our groups which makes for a cohesive, more adaptable time in the field!
