BIRDS BIRDS BIRDS

Come travel with one of the west’s leading bird photographers to some of the hottest locations!!!  Contact Jeff for more information on any of these trips.  We travel in small groups to insure the utmost in photo opportunities.

1-Sea birds/albatross fanatic on Midway Island north of Hawaii

April 7-14, 2001.  Finally I am going to Midway!!!!  .   You can come with me on this awesome bird shoot.  This island was opened to the public as a refuge in 1996.  From Honolulu it is a 1200 mile flight.  Once you arrive in Honolulu we can get you to Midway, feed and lodge you for $2500.00 for the week. This is the outstanding location for seabirds and especially the albatross nesting season.  Book this one soon!!!

2--Hummingbirds in Arizona August 2001
I am planning on being in one of Arizona's hot spots for a week shooting the hummers.    I am thinking one week (6 days) would include all photo time and set ups, meals, transportation and lodging for $1500.  We can customize the length of your stay to better suit your needs.

Weekenders

1--Wood ducks in Ashland,Oregon-3-5 November 2001

Wood ducks will be a gourmet weekend of great photography, lodging and meals.  We will be treated to wood ducks galore, fall color spectacular and wonderful slide shows.  just $250 includes Friday night orientation, all three gourmet meals on Saturday, Saturday evenings enchanting slide show and breakfast Sunday.  And of course the time in the field will produce numerous photo opportunities.  Bring your favorite spouse along on this one!  Non photographers discount only $100 includes all the above.

2--Sage grouse in Malheur,Oregon-31 March-1 April, 2001

Sage grouse dancing on their lek with early morning light.  The remainder of the day we will photograph in Malheur NWR. Birds, mammals, scenery whatever gives us the best opportunities.  We are in the boonies on this one. We stay at the field station which gives us beds and private rooms.  I’ll set it all up for you.  Food, lodging and field time with Saturday night slide show all for only $250.

3--Baby birds in Klamath Basin, California-June9-10, 2001 $200

This is one of my favorites, I’ll show you how to use the blinds of the refuge and my blinds including the floating blind at the birds eye level.  Many bird opportunities exist.  Bring your own food, I’ll provide one dinner.

4—The Cowboy Way-I am teaming up with Darrell Gulin on his exceptional photo seminar called The Cowboy Way.  Located at the Ponderosa Ranch in Seneca, Oregon we will shoot all aspects of ranch life.  This is an authentic working cattle ranch situated on 120,000 acres in eastern Oregon.  Photographing working cowboys fully model released, daily horse drives with herds of horses running full speed and any other aspect of the ranch life you can imagine.

Lodging is in a double-occupancy bunkhouse with excellent, hearty, home cooked meals.

Evening slide programs will be very informative and inspiring.  Film and equipment reps will be on hand to answer questions....  Critiques of your images will be available.

Contact me for a color brochure with more information and registration form.

I am real excited to photograph something different from my normal wildlife.  Of course those skills will be very effective when photographing the action of the ranch.
